FAQ (Flippy 3)

Transition from Flippy 2 to Flippy 4

Flippy 3/4 was completely redesigned and reprogrammed. It's build on the newest SwiftUI framework and latest Apple technologies available. Therefor some things changed.

Import existing data?

  • It's recommended to use Flippy 2 for old decks of cards and start using Flippy 4 afterwards.
  • An import tool is planned as a future update.
  • iCloud Sync was replaced with a new version and database to be more reliable than ever before. Therefor you can't activate "iCloud Sync" to download existing data.

Can I use my Premium subscription?

  • Yes. Even though Flippy 4 won't show existing purchase, the Support can easily help you to transition from Flippy 2 to Flippy 4.

iCloud Sync

Most mails received are because of unavailable sync or failing sync. In all cases these issues could be fixed by one of the steps from this list:

Purchases and Subscriptions

Flippy Premium

Flippy Premium is a single add on, that is available as one-time purchase or subscription.

I bought Premium but it doesn't work

Every subscription purchase has to be validated by servers. Depending on your network provider's restrictions or usage of VPN this validation can fail. Please check everything before contacting.

Cancel subscription

Developers aren't able / allowed to build in a "Cancel subscription" button inside apps. Instead Planny features a "Manage subscriptions" Button inside the Purchases View. Else you can do the following:

  • Go to Settings > [your name] > iTunes & App Store.
  • Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen.
  • Tap View Apple ID. You might need to authenticate your Apple ID.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
  • If you're being charged for a subscription, but you don't see it in your list of subscriptions, it might be billed through someone other than Apple. Learn what to do if you still can’t view your subscription.
  • Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription offering, or tap Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

CSV Import

Open Numbers or Excel and create a table document that features two columns. Each column represents the front or the back of your card. Each line represents another card. Export your table as .csv and use UTF-16 as encoding. You can then import them or share them with your friends.
